Vault Doors Out of a Sci-Fi Movie

When we think of vault doors, we think of a rusty piece of metal sitting in a bank vault somewhere in an old, deserted western town. Today that rusty piece of metal has become, more or less, the door to the future.

We have seen many vault door upgrades worth talking about, but none come close to what we saw last week at a gun show in Costa Mesa, CA. A lock manufacturer out of Texas showed us a lock that operates using a fingerprint. We were surprise on how simple it was to operate. Just place your finger in the lock, wait a few seconds, and done. The cool thing about this lock is that you don't have to remember any more troubling lock combinations. Literally, the power is in your fingerprints.

The Biometric lock is, without a doubt, the best vault door upgrade of 2011
